Introduction

Govt: Girls Degree College Nawansher is situated within easy approach for the people of Nawansher and is almost in the middle of the thickly populate area. It is adjacent to Govt: Centennial Model School for Girls. A Degree College was really an essential need of this thickly populated area. It was inaugurated in Aug 2001 by the education Minister Syed Imtiaz Gilani.

This college is the fruit of the great efforts of the former Nazim-e-Ala Colonel Ghulam Mustafa Khan Jadoon. When the posts for Higher Secondary were abolished and the newly established college did not get its own staff. Colonel Ghulam Mustafa Nazim-e-Ala was kind enough to detail the staff from school side for smooth running of the college. By the grace of God, the effort of the Nazim-e-Ala, the hard work, devotion, dedication and commitments of the Ex-Principal Miss/ Tasleem Begum bore fruit and the college flourished despite all financial difficulties and lack of staff. Miss Tasleem. The Ex-Principal had great courage and firm faith to overcome the initial hard time. The credit of smooth running of the college really goes to her that she faced. Every difficulty courageously and took firm stand to accomplish the uphill task for establishing a Degree College.

Now the staff and the college authorities are trying best to fully establish this newborn institution to be at par with top class institution of the city. We want to promote quality education which can help our students in facing the challenges of the modern world. We believe that college education should provide a sound foundation upon which students can continue to build for the rest of their lives. We believe in the highest standard complete Discipline and the stretching of our student to their full potential.
