Introduction

BRIEF INTRODUCTION/HISTORY OF COLLEGE

The college started its 1^st session in 2001 at Government Girls Sentential High School, Lakki city. Its new building was constructed in 2006. The college was shifted to its own building in October, 2006. The present building of GGDC, Lakki Marwat is located at the outskirts of Lakki city, on a scenic view of Gambila link road connecting Lakki to National Highway (Peshawar to Karachi).The college started its first session as Higher Secondary School in 2001 but it was upgraded by the then Governor of N.W.F.P Mr. Iftikhar Hussain Gillani to degree level in 2002 keeping in view the dire need of the area for female Higher Education. Some of the renowned names of Higher Education Department who served as Principals of the College are ;

2. Mrs. Suriya Jabeen 2006-2010
3. Mrs. Hafsa Nisar 2011-2013
4. Mrs. Hajra Masroor May 2013- August2014
5. Mrs. Bibi Fatima August 2014 - till date.

Their sincere efforts and dedication to their duties has framed the college to the present shape. It is now the central point of education for female of the district where students come from city as well as from the rural areas.
