Dir, the land of sky-talking snow-capped mountains peaks, grand canyons, green valley, strange rocks, long water falls, lush and juicy orange orchards, is known throughout the world as the land of the brave, peaceful, hospitable, tolerant and democratic people. It is situated in northern parts of Pakistan. Every year, thousands of tourists from all over the world visit this heaven-like valley to enchant from the bewitching panorama of this fascinating area. Timergara City is the capital of Dir Lower and the hub of all kinds of educational, economic and political activities. Government College of Management Sciences is situated at a village WalaiKandow, Munda Road. It is on the bank of Panjkora River. It is about four kilometers from Timergara City. The location of Government College of Management Sciences, Timergara makes it accessible and convenient for all the students and people of Dir Lower.

Government College of Management Sciences was opened in 2009. D.Com and DBA classes were started in 2009. After two years, BBA and B.Com classes were started. This year, Inter Science classes are being started. M.Com and MBA classes will also be started in the near future. Government College of Management Sciences is functioning in a modern, spacious and big building. It has all the latest facilities – richly-stocked library; well-equipped computer labs; spacious playgrounds; well-ventilated and well-lighted classrooms;convenient parking lot; cozy cafeteria; methodically-decorated mosque; clean, comfortable and peaceful hostel; spacious examination halls; experienced, dedicated and highly qualified teaching staff and democratic, vigilant and cooperative administration

Government College of Management Sciences, Timergara works under the Directorate of Commerce and Management Education, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It has been affiliated with Board of Technical Education for D.Com, DBA and DIT;with University of Malakandfor B.Com and BBA and with BISE, Malakand for Inter Science disciplines.

Government College of Management Sciences has become one of the prestigious educational institutions of the province in a short of span of time. It has been striving hard to provide useful, productive, well-aware and trained and skilled graduates to the society.
