Message from Principal
This is an important time of the year in a student’s life, a time when every student is thinking about choosing a college, and I am delighted to welcome you to Govt. Frontier College for Women, Peshawar, the oldest and the best Govt. Women College in the Province.
Choosing a college to continue your education is a major decision and I assure you that choosing FCW will be a decision you shall never regret – Since we bring to teaching a passion that makes FCW such a wonderful place to learn! Your stay at FCW will be a rewarding and life-enhancing experience.
Founded in 1949, soon after the creation of Pakistan, FCW is renowned for the wonderful holistic education that we provide to the young women of this Province with a view to empowering them to lead a life in accordance with their own aspirations. Many continue to university education to achieve their aims and ambitions.
“The aim of education,” as William S. Burroughs says, “is the knowledge, not of facts, but of values,” and at FCW, our mission is to inculcate in our students values that would make them stand out from the rest in every possible way. We strive to help them discover themselves – their strengths, areas of improvement, their hidden potentials, ambitions, dreams, and above all discovering how to fulfill themselves.
Our students shall leave this college as dynamic individuals as leaders who know how to play a leading role in whichever walk of life they choose. This we try to achieve inside as well as outside the class in an extensive array of curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities, such as, sports, debates, seminars, presentations and visits and tours. We guide and care for every student in order to cater to their needs so that they leave FCW as accomplished individuals to become architects of their lives.
