College History
Govt Girls Degree College Shiekh Maltoon Mardan is situated on Toru Road opposite Shiekh Maltoon Town Mardan over a large area of 80 kanals. It was established on 1st July 2006 as the 2nd girls college in the city of Mardan for fulfilling the educational requirements of the females of the area. Professor Sarwat Begum took charge as the first Principal of the college. Presently Mrs. Salma Ghani is running the administration of the college as the Principal.
Ever since its inception, the college has progressed gradually in terms of infrastructure and the students strength. Presently the number of the students is running into four digits. The teaching staff of the college is qualified and experienced enough to cater to the educational needs of the same.
The main building is equipped with science labs, a computer and a language lab, a library and spacious classrooms. The big hall of the college is the venue for all kinds of functions and examinations in the college. There are a number of lawns and a vast Sports ground too. Moreover, The college also provides pick and drop facility to its students on reasonable charges.
