Introduction

Rules for boarders

  • Admission will be given only once during the academic year.
  • Day scholars are not allowed to enter the hostel-premises, otherwise they will be fined for Rs.50/-.
  • Boarders cannot stay in the hostel after completion of their course of studies. One week before the commencement of any examination, they will be allowed to reside again till the end of examination.
  • Boarders have t make sure that their application is sanctioned before they leave the hostel. Submission of an application dose not means that the leave has been granted. Students infringing upon the rules will liable to disciplinary action.
  • Boarders can visit or accompany any such visitor whose name and photocopy of identity card is given by their parents/guardians in the hostel admission form.
  • Boarders are allowed to visit their homes twice a month on Saturday after college hours, or on certain holidays, after obtaining permission from the warden and confirming it form the principal. Overstay will automatically cancel the next home chance and student will be fined for Rs.20/-day.
  • In addition the boarders are given a local chance of few hours duration once a month. They can accompany and visit those visitors whose identity cards (Photocopy) are given to the office/warden. However, on boarder can go for shopping from the college.
  • Visitors may visit on Sunday and public holidays during visiting hours, and not on working days.
  • The visiting hours and days throughout the year are as under:
  • Saturday From 123:00 noon to 5:00 pm
  • Sunday from 9:00 morning to 5:00 pm
  • Parents/guardians and other relative are requested to observe the days and hours for their visits to avoid causing incoming to the college.
  • The electricity bills of the hostel will be evenly shared by the consumers/ boarder if it.
  • Boarders are prohibited, in their own interest, from keeping money, jewelry or any other valuables in their rooms. Good quality locks should be used so that they cannot be easily broken or tempered with.
  • After college hours, no boarder is allowed to the college lawns.
  • The boarders are expected to keep their rooms, verandas, bathrooms and hostel-lawns clean. They should use the trash cans for this purpose.
  • The monthly mess fee will be paid in advance. However, if the college remains closed for a week or more, the reduction mess fee will be made on weekly basis accordingly
  • Boarders are not allowed to run an independent mess in any case.
  • Student’s guests are not allowed.
  • No boarder is allowed to have a cassette player, TV or VCR in the hostel. Anybody disobeying this rule will be fined and in extreme cases can be stuck off form the hostel/college roll.
  • In case of sickness, the boarders have to submit lave application to the principal after obtaining the approval of the warden.
  • In case of emergency, the boarders to obtain leave from the principal as well as form the warden on separate application.
  • Cell phones are strictly prohibited: if it is found with any of hostelite, it will be confiscated by the hostel authorities. Moreover, the student will be fined for.
  • It is the sole responsibility of the parents to inform the warden about the arrival and departure of their ward.
