GOVT. Post Graduate College for women Mardan

<p><p>The Govt. Post Graduate College for Woman Mardan situated at Swabi road in baghdadah. Initially, the college was established in a rented building Hujra Abdur Rehman and deceased Begum Irfan got the honor of its 1<sup>st </sup>Principal in 1963. Its level raised to the Degree college in 1965.It was shifted to the existing building in 1968 and presently this institution enjoys the status of Post Graduate College since 2006. About 3500 students are enrolled every year in almost all disciplines of science and arts. In accordance with the instructions of Govt. of Khyber Pakhtoon Khwa, BS-4 years program has been introduced in the prevailing education system. The purpose of the program is to enhance the basic knowledge of a student and bring it in parity with the modern standard at international level. To cope with arising dianamic challenges, the BS program has been launched in 2011 in the disciplines of Political science, Economics, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry. Later on BS programs in Mathematics, Computer Science, Psychology, English were also introduced. It will be extended to other faculties with the passage of time to embellish academic and meet the requirements of modern era.</p> <p>                Today its specious lecturer rooms. Administrative block , commodious halls, sick room. Library and well equipped Labortories, hostels for staff and students , Canteen, vast lush green lawns and Botoanical garden make beautious the outskirts. College is facilitated with a grand "Day care Center" for infants. There are two main powerfull generators for college and hostel students in order to avoid their distraction by load shedding.</p> <p>                This college is playing a vital role in uplift of female education. Uncountable students graduates are serving the needs in all over Pakistan and many have achieved high postions and responsibility and excellence in their chosen fields.</p> <p> </p></p>
