Principal's Message
I am pleased to mention that Government Degree College Shewa is located in the foot of Karamar mountain, surrounded by lush green fields.
We are striving to promote the noble cause of Education in the area which is relatively lying at a distance from the main road, stuffed with people hailing to farming as occupation and access to scare living resources. This college tends to prove more than a blessing for these people with highly qualified staff, spacious classroom, well equipped laboratories, heavily stocked library and other allied facilities. The quality of Education in the college speaks itself as considerable numbers of our graduate are serving in different national and provincial departments in various capacities. Despite a number of handicaps and compulsions we would carry on your endeavors to equip our youths with knowledge and improve the lot of the area.
History of Govt: Degree College Shewa, (Swabi).
As a part of evolutionary process this College was formally inaugurated on the 25th of May, 2003 as Govt: Degree College Shewa (Swabi). Its present location was decided after a well thought considration of the potential students. It was thought that the College would serve the nearby Village of Shewa, Sheikh Jana, Karnal Sher killi, Shera Ghund, Kalu Khan, Turlandi, Tarakai, Dagai, Permoli, Naranji, Ghulaman and the other, Shortly the College is going to launch the classes of M.Sc. Computer Science as the approval has already been issued by the Department of Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
