Introduction

The role of the co-curricular activities cannot be denied in the character building of the students. Keeping in view this objective, various types of competitions e.g., Husni Qirat, Naat Khwani, Debates, skits etc. are held regularly to flourish the sense of competition among the students. All the college students are invited to take part in these activities enthusiastically. Prizes, Certificates are awarded to the winning students in the annual day function held at the end of the session.

COLLEGE SOCIETIES

In order to foster interest and development of students’ mental caliber, various societies have been established. With their presidents and secretary designations, students learn to command and to be responsible citizen of Pakistan.

PROCTORIAL BOARD

Discipline and good manners are the most important factors for education and training. A Proctorial board is, therefore, organized to persuade students to observe perfect discipline. It has two main chapters: Members are appointed from among the teaching staff, called the staff proctors, while the other chapter works under the supervision of the first, and consists of senior students. A suitable person from amongst the teaching staff is appointed as the head of the Proctorial board known as the Chief Proctor.

• Proctorial board keeps a vigilant eye on the general attitude/behaviour of the students and helps in the maintenance of discipline. They have to perform the under mentioned duties:

(i) To make sure that discipline is properly maintained.

(ii) To be present in the college during functions, Board/University examinations, sports and other competitions.

(iii) To ensure that the students are in proper uniform and represent the college in an appropriate manner.

SOCIAL WORK

Some work of social welfare for at least three weeks during two academic years is must for the degree students. Social work may include cleanliness and beautification of an area, look –after the play grounds and lawns or some other assignments of social interest inside/outside the college premises.

STUDY AND EXCURSION TRIP

College administration arranges regular study and excursion trips for students. Prior written permission from parents / guardians of the students is a pre-requisite in this respect.
