<p>Government Degree College Battagram, located in the picturesque green valley of <strong>Chappargram</strong>, District <strong>Battagram</strong>, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stands as a beacon of higher learning and academic excellence. Surrounded by majestic mountains and lying adjacent to the world-renowned <strong>Shahra-e-Karakurram</strong> (also known as the <strong>Silk Route</strong> or <em>Shahra-e-Resham</em>), the college offers an inspiring environment for education, reflection, and intellectual growth.</p> <p>Established in <strong>1999</strong>, GDC Battagram has the distinction of being the <strong>only public sector institution</strong> in the district offering quality education at both <strong>Intermediate and Degree levels</strong> in the fields of <strong>Mathematical, Biological, and Social Sciences</strong>. Over the years, the college has produced numerous graduates who have contributed significantly in various academic and professional domains.</p> <p>In <strong>2009</strong>, a modern and aesthetically designed college building was constructed through the generous assistance of the <strong>Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)</strong>. The new infrastructure provides a conducive learning atmosphere, equipped with spacious classrooms, well-furnished laboratories, a rich library, and other essential academic facilities.</p> <p>The city of <strong>Battagram</strong> itself is known for its <strong>breathtaking landscapes</strong>, <strong>serene environment</strong>, <strong>cascading waterfalls</strong>, and <strong>hilly terrain</strong>, offering an ideal setting for both study and personal development.</p> <p>Currently, <strong>Government Degree College Battagram</strong> has expanded its academic horizon by launching <strong>BS (Four-Year) Programs</strong> in multiple disciplines under the guidelines of the <strong>Higher Education Commission (HEC)</strong> and <strong>Hazara University, Mansehra</strong>.
