Iqbal Day
Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Shair-e-Mashriq (Poet of the East), Mufakkir-e-Pakistan (The Thinker of Pakistan), and Hakeem-ul-Ummat (The Sage of the Ummah) is known as the inspiration behind Pakistan Movement that resulted in the Independence of Pakistan. Being the great poet, politician and philosopher of the history of sub-continent, 9th November is commemorated as Iqbal Day. Government Girls Degree College Sheikh Maltoon paid great tribute to Dr Allama Iqbal by organising a gathering to highlight his great Philosophy. Speeches Tableaus and verses from his poetry were presented.
