My dear students, we are passing through a very difficult time, while we have our aspirations, we have to be aware of our responsibilities towards our institutions; our family; our people; our culture; and our country. We have to deal with numerous problems that we face on daily basis. Judge us on the standards on which you would want us to judge you. It is situated in the suburbs of Peshawar, the lush green rural area of Peshawar District.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, especially your parents for entrusting us with the responsibility of building your future and your career. I admit that it consists of a limited number of accommodation for class rooms, laboratories and library but these adequately equipped and effectively provide the required services.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF THE COLLEGE
Government Degree College Wadpagga Peshawar is situated at Wadpagga near Dalazak Road Peshawar. The people of Wadpagga and adjacent areas belong to different walks of life. The gallant people of this area, due to their capabilities, capacities, and competencies have achieved great success at national level. This college was established by the personal efforts of the prominent politician and social worker Arbab Muhammad Ayub Jan at Wadpagga adjacent to Government Higher Secondary School, keeping in view the educational needs of the locality from the modern age perspective. The present Provincial Government is determined to build administration block, science and computer laboratories, cafeteria and a wide exam hall along with sufficient number of classrooms.

AFFILIATION
Government Degree College Wadpagga Peshawar at Intermediate level is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar while at Degree level for Arts with the University of Peshawar.
ADMISSION
Admission in the college will be made with strict adherence to the policy of merit and in accordance with the rules and regulations framed by the Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa admission forms to the Intermediate and Degree, Part-I classes will be issued just after the declaration of results by the BISE, Peshawar. The college admission committees will announce the last date for the submission of admission forms.
Admission Committees appointed by the Principal will, after thorough scrutiny and verification, provide provisional admission to the candidates, which will not mean any commitment or entail any legal liability till it is confirmed and the registration by the Board/University is completed.
Unless a candidate is granted admission to the college, there is no need of producing affidavit along with the Admission Form. It should be produced at the time of interview/admission.
ADMISSION RULES
1 Admission starts on the date announced by the admission committee and continues according to the schedule of BISEP/University of Peshawar.
2 Late admission cases are dealt with strictly in accordance with the BISE/University rules or until such a date is fixed by the Principal for the purpose.
3 95% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit and 5% on Sports basis. Students seeking admission on sports basis may submit separate application forms. All the supporting documents & approved certificates must be attached with the application. Admission on sports basis will be made according to the distribution of seats among different faculties, and different games. No certificate of sports, etc will be entertained after the submission of application forms. In sports quota candidates with at least 2nd division are eligible for admission.
4 Only those candidates are eligible for admissions who have passed their last annual or preceding supplementary examination of the Board.
5 Candidates failed in one or more subjects are not allowed to take admission in the Part-I of any class.
6 Candidates placed in "E" grade are not allowed to take admission in the inter and degree classes.
7 The upper age limit at the time of admission is 19 years for 1st year and 22 years for 3rd year.
8 Candidates passing in the succeeding supplementary examination shall not be eligible for admission in the same academic year.
9 Local candidates of the area are given preference. However, ten percent seats are reserved for non-local candidates who have passed their SSC/ lnter examination in A1 or A grade. Other candidates having genuine reasons such as residence/service of parents in the area or when vacant seats exist in the college are also eligible for admission.
10 Candidates belonging to boards other than BISE Peshawar have to produce migration certificate at the time of admission.
11 Cases of the candidates found indulged in any gross-misconduct, political, illegal or criminal activities during their school or college period shall not be considered for admission at all. Student, whose character during the Intermediate (Part-l or Part-II) and Part-I of Degree classes were found unsatisfactory, shall not be given admission in the Part-II of Intermediate and Part-l or
Part-II of the Degree classes.
12 Candidates are required to produce an affidavit (copy enclosed) as an undertaking typed on a stamp paper and duly attested by the competent authority at the time of interview for admission.
13 The following must be attached with the admission forms.
a Attested copy of D. M. C (S. S. C/Intermediate)
b Attested copy of character certificate issued by the Head of the educational institution last attended. In case examination is passed in private capacity, character certificate must be signed by a Class-1 Gazetted officer.
c Attested copy of Domicile Certificate. (Original must be produced at the time of admission).
d Attested copy of N.I.C. of the Parent/Guardian
e Attested copy of Provisional Certificate (School/College)
f Four attested photographs.
14 A candidate who has missed previous chance of admission has to produce an affidavit to the effect that he has not been admitted to any college previously and that he is availing the opportunity of admission for the first time. However, such cases shall be processed according to the rules.
15 Hafiz-e-Quran will be awarded 20 extra marks if otherwise eligible for admission.
16 The candidates late in submission of their application forms or failing to appear for interview on the notified date shall not claim any right for admission. It is the responsibility of the candidates to keep themselves informed of the date of interview, admission, etc. Individual catering is not possible for the college.
17. In all cases where these regulations are silent or where there is difference of opinion about their interpretation, the decision of the Principal shall be final.

Presently the college offers admission at Intermediate level in Science, Computer Science, General Science and Humanities.

Degree Level:
In degree level, the college offers only Bachelor in Arts (B.A) in which there are two compulsory subject’s i.e. English and Islamic Education, and two optional subjects where the candidate can select one of the two combinations.
College Uniform:
College had assigned two types of uniforms for the students, winter and summer seasons. It is strictly advised that all the students come to college in uniform otherwise heavy fine will be charged.
Summer Uniform:
White Shirt and Shalwar, Black Socks and Black Shoes.
Winter Uniform:
White Shirt and Shalwar, Navy Blue Coat or Full sleeves Jersey, Black Socks and Black Shoes.
Annual Admission Fee Structure for Intermediate and Degree Classes
Annual Admission fee will be charged from the above mentioned classes as notified by the Higher Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtun Khwa.
EXAMINATION FEE:
Annual Examination fee From Intermediate and Degree Classes will be charged according to the fee structure of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar, and University of Peshawar respectively.
CLASS ATTENDANCE
At least 75% attendance of the delivered lecturers is compulsory for a student in theory and practical classes in each subject both at the Inter as well as Degree level. A student absent for six consecutive classes from any class without proper leave is immediately struck off the college rolls.

IDENTITY CARDS
The college identity card is issued to all students within fifteen days of their admission. It is binding upon every student to obtain the college identity card and keep it with himself during the college hours. In case of loss or spoilage, a duplicate Identity Card is issued on payment of a fine of Rs.100/-.
ACCOUNTABLE IRREGULARITIES
The Principal, the College Council, the Chief Proctor, and the Disciplinary Committee are competent to levy penalties at their discretion according to the nature of any of the under-mentioned irregularities:

ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL
The Administrative Council, comprising the Chief Proctor and two other members work on permanent basis in the college. The Principal may refer any offence or irregularity for investigation to the council. This council chalks out its own modus operandi for inquiry. The college council is empowered to approve the final penalty.
THE COLLEGE COUNCIL
The college council comprises of senior staff members of the college. The chief proctor and the controller of examination are the ex-officio members. It discusses in detail, all grievous offences and other matters of serious nature and agrees on a unanimous decision which is to be implemented at all cost.
SUSPENSION OF STUDENTSHIP
Studentship may be suspended if any indiscipline/misconduct is reported to the administration and it continues till the final decision of the competent authorities.
RUSTICATION OR EXPULSION FROM COLLEGE
Rustication means removing of a student from college roll for a period of one year, which means the wastage of one academic year. The B, I.S,E. Peshawar and the University of Peshawar are duly informed.
Expulsion means to remove a student from the college roll for one year or more Recommendations of expulsion will be sent to the Chairman of B.I,S.E Peshawar or the Vice-Chancellor University of Peshawar to obtain their approval.
A student is struck off the college roll right from the date on which the Principal recommends his punishment.
COMPENSATION FOR DAMAGES
If a student damages the college property or private possessions of the fellow or of an employee of the college, he has to pay compensation for the damage within a definite period, otherwise he will be struck off the college roll.
POWER OF THE PRINCIPAL IN EMERGENCY
The principal, in a state of emergency, may impose a penalty on any student. He may provisionally penalize those whose offences are already under the investigation of the Administrative Council. Any student may be expelled from the college and prevented from entering into its premises by the order of the Principal. All such actions of the Principal are ratified by the college council. If student is found guilty of illegal activities, he is not only to be handed over to police but also sever legal action is taken against those who aided and abetted him.
AMENDMENT AND ANNULMENT OF RULES
The Principal is competent to amend any rule or regulation in the interest of the institution.
BAN ON POLITICAL ACTIVITIES
In the light of the Supreme Court verdict which reads as under.
“Students’ indulgence in political activities in the college shall be strictly prohibited.”
“We, therefore, hereby direct that at the time of admission to an educational institution the student and his parent/guardian shall give an undertaking that the student shall not indulge in politics failing which he shall not be allowed admission. And if after the admission, he violates such undertaking i.e. “indulges himself in politics” he shall be expelled from the institution without any further notice. All the educational institutions shall henceforth seek and obtain similar undertaking in respect of all existing enrolled students.
It is explained that the finding with regard to “indulgence in politics” given by the Head of institution under his seal and signature shall be final and shall not be questioned except only before the Supreme Court”.
The specimen of undertaking given on the following page has to be filled and signed by the student and his father/guardian on judicial paper and attested by a competent authority to be produced at the time of interview/admission.
Unless a candidate is granted admission to the college, there is no need of producing the undertaking along with the Admission Form. It should be produced at the time of interview / admission.
UNDERTAKING
