Admission Policy

• Admission Policy for Male and Female Colleges of KP under the jurisdiction of Higher Education Department

– Manual Process, forms will be issued – Online Process, apply online

• Admission Committee constituted by the Principal • Admission types

– Normal 90% or 100%

– Meritorious 10 or 0% ( Principal may keep 10% seats for meritorious students)

– Minimum marks shall be decided for meritorious by the committee concerned

Eligibility for Admission

• Up to 3 session missed students are eligible

• More than 3 session missed students shall be placed at the bottom of waiting list

– If no other applicant then such candidates are given chance

• Failed in one or more subjects or E (40%) grade in SSC are not eligible

• Students passed exam in supplementary exam are not eligible for admission in that year

• Less than 45% marks not eligible in BS or 3rd year

3 Upper Age Limit

• No upper age limit for Female except under sports quota

4 Age Relaxation

• Up-to 3 years age relaxation can be claimed

– Principal is authorized to grant 01 year age relaxation – Director is authorized to grant 03 years age relaxation

– More than 3-years may be referred to Secretary HED for approval

– Approved Age Relaxation certificate shall be provided within 30 days, otherwise, admission stands cancelled

– Age Relaxation certificate printed with application form for overage students

5 Jurisdiction Area

• College Jurisdiction

• Area specified by college duly approved by JMC • Overlapping of Jurisdiction areas may possible

6 Seats Distribution and Quotas in Intermediate

Note:: Vacant seats in any quota shall be allocated to Jurisdiction local. In case no applicant is in JL then seats will be converted to DL

7 Seats Distribution and Quotas in BS

• Vacant seats in any quota is shall be allocated to District local

Note:: Afghan seat subject to the condition of the approval of University concerned

8 Preparation of Merit List

• For Intermediate admission SSC marks • For BS admission Intermediate marks

• 20 marks shall be added to Hafiz e Quran test with certificate from a recognize madrassa

• 5 marks shall be deducted per session/year

• 5 marks shall not be deducted if exam passed from preceding supplementary exam

9 Preparation of Sports Merit List

• Undertaking for Active participation in sports • By default printed with Application Form

• For sports merit list

– Certificate Marks (Maximum 35) – Trial marks (Maximum 65)

10 Change of Subject

• Change of Faculty is not allowed

• Change of subject(Arts only) is allowed (within 21 days)
