Timergara presents captivating beauty of nature. Unlike the big cities, here we find clean and fresh air, free from pollution. The people of this district have a consuming passion for knowledge but due to lack of facilities, they have to go to other parts of the country to quench their thirst for knowledge. In order to cater to the educational requirements of the people of this area, the Govt. of Pakistan established this college at Timergara in 1969, the year the former state of Dir was merged in pakistan.Initially it was an intermediate college housed in Govt. high school Timergara. Later, it was shifted to its existing location in 1973. It was upgraded as a degree college and inaugurated by the then Governer of KPK. The Govt. of KPK has upgraded it to the level of Post Graduate College and the Dept. of Maths has also been launched.
