Govt. Girls Degree College Madyan, Swat

Madyan is the lush green area and is synonymous with natural elegance e.g. snow-capped mountains, green forests, springs and green water. The valley needed a femal institution which could cater for the latest female educational needs. This dream of a quality and educational female institution came true in the form of Government Girls Degree College Madyan. The College was established in 2014 by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to provide quality education to the female population at their door step. It is situated in lush green hills of Madyan valley. The college was established in the supervision of Prof. Arif Ullah (Ex Principal of GDC Madyan) in 2014 for which we are extremely thankful to him and staff members. In its first session 41 students were enrolled. Later the College started functioning in the supervision of well trained female Principal Madam Anwar Noor from 2014-2016. We are extremely thankful to her support and cooperation to run the college in critical circumstances.Now, the college boasts more then 300 students strength in various faculties like pre medical, pre engineering and different subjects groups at degree level. The teaching staff is highly qualified, sincere, honest, dedicated and professionally skilled.The teaching staff left no stone unturned to achieve the success for this college. The college is affiliated with University of Swat at Degree Level and with BISE Swat at Intermediate Level. The mission of our institution is to strive for the advancement of all good Literature, arts, and science, and the advancement and inculcation of the eternal values of Truth, Beauty and Goodness among our students. We are committed to imbuing the students with a sprit to explore, to create, to challenge, and to lead. We aim at building the character of the students in the light of the sublime ideals of Islam, and preparing them for the service of the nation.; The institution is proud of instilling values like patriotism, altruism, unity, faith, discipline, trust, peace, simplicity, cooperation, honesty, courage, love, respect, hope, faithfulness, happiness, and service.
