College History
Government Degree College Gulabad was established in Oct. 1995 at the merging point of Distt: Dir and Distt: Swat at about 10Km from Chakdara CIty. When Benazir Bhutto was on the helm, once she announced IT University in Distt: Dir. General populace were of the view that the building would be of IT university as the then Prime Minister promised. The college spans for about 103 Canals near gigantic hills of LARAM. The land has historic links of learning and education as it is located about half of a Km from "Andan Dherai" a sacred place of learning at the time of Buddah. First, it was for Inter Classes only but soon Degree classes were also started in 2000.
