Government Degree College No. 3, was established in 2009. It did not have its own building at that time. It started its journey from GDC No.1 and then shifted to Dera Township in 2010.
College had started with only few students, Today it is providing a quality of education to 960 students.
Total Area of the college is 30 canals. Its covered area is 8480 sq.ft approx. It has 15 departments and 5 Laboratories to meet academic requirments of the students.
