Abbottabad City

Introduction

Abbottabad is the most beautiful city located in the Hazara region of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in northeastern Pakistan. It was the headquarter of the Hazara District during brithish rule of India. The city was named after Major James Abbott who founded the town in January 1853 after the annexation of Punjab. Besides scenic beauty and health conducive environment, the city is known for its high standard referred to the city of schools and colleges. Abbottabad is within easy access from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The city is situated at an altitude of 1,260 meters (4, 134 ft) apart from being famous for its educational institutions and Military Academy, also serves as the gateway to almost all beautiful places in Pakistan. The city has a humid subtropical moderate climate, with mild to warm temperatures during the spring and autumn months, humid temperatures during June and July, and cool to mild temperatures during the winter. The environment of the city is congenial so, it can rightly be called learning and training Eden.
