Introduction

BRIEF HISTORY:

The Government Girls Degree College in Nowshera started functioning on 1st September 1975 in a rented building on 45 Rehman Road. The total admission in 1st Year Arts and science was 28 students. Since the college produced good academic results, the number of students increased rapidly. The present building for which the land was donated by the Elders of Badrashi was completed in 1979. The college was shifted to its new building on Mall road in June 1979. It is situated in the Cantonment area opposite to the Station Headquarter Mall Road. At present the college consists of fully equipped Science Labs, Library, Canteen, Hall, Spacious Class rooms, Bachelor Hostel for the staff, student’s hostel, B.S block and an independent administration block. The upper storey has full-fledged labs and 20 class rooms for the increasing number of students.
