I welcome you all from the core of my heart and I am pleased that you have taken time to visit the Govt S.M.K.M Degree College Kotha, Swabi.I hope that all staff members and students in conjuntion will make this institution a great platform for holistic learning.

Since, 1977 this college has done exceptionally well in the field of education because our focus is always on to groom the educational and moral development of students. We continue our commitment to prepare students to think and establish goals on their journey of college and career after. We strive to create environment that is more favourable for coping with the modern challenges. Our top priority is to furnish an educational system that is more conducive for learning and by blessings of Almighty we have been succeeded in achieving our goals and objectives to much extent. It is definitely the result of these efforts that we brought positive change in the efficiency of students and I am very grateful to my prestigious staff members who made it possible through long lasting efforts and struggles by monitoring and mentoring their students.

To address the needs of our students to meet the challenges of the next level of their educational experiences we have created a safe and rigorous learning environment such that making library functional, to equip the science laboratories, to encourage the meritorious and needy students, to guide the students and minimize the gap between the relationship teachers and parents.

I am confident just like past years this year the students will be striving hard to accomplish their goals in the educational environment that we created for them and they will make full use of it.

History of Govt S.M.K.M Degree College Kotha, Swabi

It is one of the oldest colleges of Swabi and was founded in 1977. This college has spread over area of about 674 kanals but recently 200 kanals was allocated to Swabi Model School. The Pehwar High Level canal is flowing between school and college.

Initially this college was started in 1977 in a building which was paid through rent but after three years in December 1980 it was shifted to new building, then it was officially inaugurated by Governer General Fazal-e-Haq and named after the well-famous and prominent person Mr. Sahibzada Muhammad Khursheed, who was the first Muslim governor of KPK.

In 1991 this college was offering courses of science and arts at intermediate level but due to struggles and efforts of influential people of territory and principals of various colleges the college was awarded a degree level and for this purpose a segregated block of building was built.

(c) Computer Science Group

English, Urdu, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Sceince, Islamic Education (Part-I) and Pak. Studies (Part-II)

The student will select any group from the following given.

College New Building

This college has recently shifted to its new building. This building is located in Topi and is easily accessible from the main road. It has clean, well-vantilated and spacious classrooms. It has many lawns and its laboratories are well equipped with modern needs of educaiton. The new building has very big hall which has the capacity of accomodating 400 students and it has many doors for entry and exit. The new amazing building and structure enhances the student life and college experience as whole.
