Welcome To Govt Degree College Thana Malakand.
Government Degree College Thana was established as an intermediate college in 1962, and in 1968 this college become a degree awarded college.initially the college offered courses in Arts(Humanities) only.However in order to meet the aspiration of the locals,the college started admission in Science as well.
The college premises encompass an area of more than 150 acrs,sorrounded by lush green fields and sky-high mountains.tha fact that this valuable land was dnated the local inhabitants bears testinony to their dedication and love for education.The collge campus has also accomodated building of GCNS, RITE, GGMS, GHS.
Besides residential houses for the non-local staff. There is alos a students Hostel, and beautiful mosque in the college premises.in anutshell,the GDC Thana occupies an enviable status anomg the educational institutions of Khyber Pakhtunkhea and it is hoped and prayed tha this historical college willl continue to serve as beacon of truth and knowledge for the coming generatoin, Insha Allah
