Introduction:-

Government Girls College Pirpiai is an Educational institution which provides sound education to the students with special emphasis on their character building and development of wholesome personality. Under its present administration, the institution aims at inculcation of the Islamic values of life in them and through a broad and well planned programme for physical, mental and academic training equips them with those qualities of read and heart which may enable them to acquaint themselves well with any responsibility assigned to them in life or successfully pursue any honorable profession that they may adopt. Each student is trained to work hard and believe that she can achieve any thing in life.

Brief History:-

Government Girls College in Pir Piai started functioning o 1^ST august 2001. The total admission in 1^ST year was 82, since the college produced good academic results, the number of students increased rapidly. This was the second girls college in Distt: Nowshera. The land for the college was donated by the Elders of Pirpiai, on which the building was constructed in 1993 for Government Elementary College Pirpiai Nowhera. But in 2001,the Government of N.W.F.P/KPK.decided to start Government Girls Degree College Pirpiai in the said building. The college is situated on a vast area having two bungalows for Principal and vice Principal, One Bachelor Hostel, servant quarters and a big hostel for girls. The college also consists of fully equipped science labs, computer Lab, Library, Hall, Spacious class rooms, and Play grounds etc.

ADMINISTRATION:-

The Principal is the head of the institution and is empowered to run the administration of the college. Her decision and orders, in all matters of the college, are binding on all students on the rolls. The college council assists the Principal in running the administration and maintaining general discipline of the college. The admission committee assists the Principal during admission.

GENERAL ADMISSION RULES AND REGULATIONS

Admission to the college is conducted strictly in accordance with the rules and regulations made by the Education Department KPK.

1. Admission process starts on the date announced by the admission committee and continues according to the schedule of BISE Mardan /S.B.B.W.U at the relevant levels.
2. In case of availability of online admission facility for a particular level of studies, candidates shall apply online and hard copies of their application forms along with required documents shall be submitted to the college.
3. The application form duly filled by the candidates shall be supported by attested photocopies of the following documents:

02 Passport size Photographs:-

(1) Attested copy of DMC. (S.S.C./Intermediate)

(2) Attested copy of certificate.

(3) Attested copy of provisional and character certificate (School/College).

(4) Domicile.

(5) Undertaking.

(6) Attested copy if N.I.C. of the Parents/Guardian.

Note:-

All the candidate are required to bring their original certificates and DMCs. At the time of interview.

1. Admission forms, duly completed in all respect, are received by the college up to the date announced by the admission committee. Incomplete forms will not be entertained.
2. No. admission form will be issued/received after expiry of stipulated date.
3. Late admission cases may be dealt with strictly in accordance with Board/University rules.
4. Change of subjects in 1^ST year and 3^rd year classes will not be allowed after 30 days of the beginning of the session.
5. Admission will be cancelled under the following circumstance.

1. If any of the information given by the student in her admission form is found to be incorrect at any stage.
2. If a student fails to attend classes within a week of the start of the session.
3. If she continues to be absent for a week without proper leave.
4. If she is found to be a professional agitator, or has been struck off from educational institution on disciplinary grounds.

COURSES OF STUDIES.-

Intermediate courses:-

English, Urdu, Islamiat (comp) and Pakistan studies are compulsory subjects. The candidates applying for F.Sc. are required to select one group from the following:-

F.sc: Eligibility: S.S.C. with Science (Minimum C grade).

• Pre-Medical:- Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Eligibility: S.S.C. with Science (Minimum C grade).
• Pre-Engineering:-Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (Physics, Maths.computer Science). Eligibility: S.S.C. with Science (Minimum C grade).

Computer Science:-Mathematics, Statistics, Computer science. Eligibility: S.S.C. with Science (Minimum C grade).

General Science:- Mathematics, Statistics, Economics. Eligibility: S.S.C. (Minimum C Grade)

F.A :-Eligibility: S.S.C (Minimum C grade)

English, Urdu, Islamiat (comp) and Pakistan studies are compulsory subjects..Students are required to select one group from following groups.

Group 2:Statistics,Economics,Isl.studies

Group 3:Islamic studies,Library Science,Urdu elective.

Group 6: Civics,History,Psychology

Group 7: Civics,LibraryScience,Urdu Elective

Group 8:Civics,H.P.E,Urdu Elective

Group 9:Geograpgy,Psychology,Urdu elective

Group 10:Home Economics,Islamic Studies,Urdu Elective.

HOME EXAMINATION:-

One home exam or test is compulsory for the students of all classes. Every student must have to appear in these exams or test and non-appearance would be punished.

Attendance:-

1. Regular and punctual attendance at lectures, practical, Physical education and manual/social work is compulsorily expected from students.
2. A student must attend at least 75%of the lectures delivered in each of her respective subjects, failing which her admission form will not be sent to the Board/University. The same rule applies to science practicals.
3. Students absent without leave application will be liable to fine of Rs.05/-per subject.

PAYMENTS OF FEES AND DUES:

All outstanding dues must be paid in advance by the notified date. If the Student fails to pay the dues for two consecutive months without any intimation her” name will be struck off from the college.

According to Board/University rules, college tuition fee is charged for 12 months during the one session course of intermediate and degree classes. The other funds are also charged for the same period as the tuition fees. No students what so ever will be allowed to appear in the college or Board/University examination until all outstanding college or university dues are cleared.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

Some scholarships from the Government, local bodies and agencies are available to the deserving candidates of this college. Fee concessions are also granted to the poor students. But any sort of financial help is subject to the condition that the student shows satisfactory progress in her studies, in discipline and her conduct otherwise the facility can be withdrawn.

COLLEGE UNIFORM.

All the students are required to wear the following specified uniform.

1. Shalwar:- white (Simple without any design)
2. Shirt:- white with coat collar and cuff.
3. Dupatta:- white with ribbon lining.

1. For 1^ST year navy blue.
2. For 2^ND year maroon.
3. For 3^RD year baby pink.
4. For 4^TH year white without ribbon.
5. Socks – Blacks.
6. Shoes – Black(High heels are not allowed)
7. Cardigan/Sweater – Black (Normal size and simple).

LIBRARY.

The college library has a new book stock in the charge of a qualified librarian. The college library and reading room are open on all working days. Complete silence is observed in the library. Not more than two books are issued at a time. A book cannot be kept beyond a period of two weeks. In case of damage to a book the full price of the book is recoverable.

Security should be claimed within one month after the termination of the exams otherwise it will be forfeited.

FINES:-

Students absent from the college without application or applying for leave without getting the leave application attested by their parents/guardian will be treated as absent without leave and will be fined as under:-

1. Absence from the college for the whole day:- Rs.05/-
2. Absence from one period:- Rs.05/-
3. Absence from any one practical period: - Rs.10/-.
4. Possessing mobile/camera Rs.500/- and will not be returned.
5. Failed/absence from monthly test of per-subject Rs.10/-
6. Absence from detention exam per paper.:- Rs.50/-
7. Absence from whole F.A/F.Sc Home Exam :-Rs.300/-
8. Absence from whole B.A/B.Sc home exam:- Rs.200/-​
