Message from Head of Department
Pakistan Studies is actually an Area study that focuses on multi disciplinary and interdisciplinary subjects like history, culture, economy, foreign affairs, etc. in Pakistani perspective. Introduced in 1976 under an Act of the parliment, Pakistan Studies is taught as compulsary subject in Pakistani educational institutions up to Bachelor level. It aims at the socialization and inculcation of patriotic spirit in young generation; it also aims to equip Pakistani youth with the knowledge and skills to cope with challenges of the time and to meet the needs of the country in all walks of life.
The Department of Pakistan Studies at AKL Postgraduate College expresses its strong committment with the achievement of the objectivess as set forth. The objective shall be achieved through serious teaching-learning activities including research and enhancing creative skills.
