Admission Policy

Introduction

The admission in FA/FSc first year starts 10 days after the SSC result of Annual Examination and continued for 10 days. The admission in BA/BSc 3rd year is done in the same way. According to the rules;

  • For admission the candidate must have passed all the subjects in the last examination. Admission is given based upon the obtained marks.
  • Candidates passed in Grade ‘E’ in SSC are not eligible for admission in first year.
  • Candidates who obtain less than 45% in the last examination passed shall not be allowed admission to 3rd year / Degree Part-1st or BS 1st Semester.
  • No regular admission in any class shall be allowed to a candidate who has already passed equivalent examination in another faculty / group or subject.
  • The candidates living within the limits of the Police Station Khanpur and belonging District Haripur are preferred.
  • Candidates from outside the district are considered if their parents/guardians are serving in District Haripur. In such a case a certificate from the head of the concerned office must be provided with the admission form.
  • The age limit for 1st year admission is 19 years and for 3rd year is 22 years. The age shall be reckoned with respect to the closing date for receipt of applications for admission.
  • Over-age candidates can apply for relaxation in the upper age limits for upto three years by giving cogent reasons for availing such relaxation. Applications for age relaxation must be submitted before the closing date of submission of application forms. Principal of the college is authorised to grant one year relaxation in the upper age limits at all levels as defined. The Director Higher Education is authorised to grant age relaxation upto three years. The principal may submit such genuine hardship cases by giving cogent reasons to the Director Higher Education after providing provisional admission to such students, if otherwise eligible. The provisional admission shall stand cancelled if the relaxation in upper age limit is not granted by the competent authority within 30 days of making such a request.
  • Candidates passing in supplementary examination shall not be eligible for admission in the academic year in which he/she has passed the examination.
