History of College
Government Girls Degree College (GGDC) Booni, Chitral is situated at a distance of 2-3 Km from village Booni along the main road leading to Chitral town, with River Yarkhoon on its left presenting a picturesque view. The construction work on college building was started in 2005 and within a short period of four years in June 2009 it started functioning. Presently the college is catering to the educational needs of more than 0.15 million population of Tehsil Mastuj.
The college is equipped with highly qualified faculties for science and arts subjects rendering their services efficiently and honestly. They provide to the students an effective educational environment emphasizing not only curricular but co-curricular activities as well, to enhance leadership qualities in them. In addition the college extends transport facilities to local and suburb areas and limited accommodation facility to distant learners.
Furthermore the staff extends its association with parents and educationists of the area through College Council to get their support and cooperation to make the college one of the best, leading and famous educational institution in the area.
