<p>&lt;p&gt;Government City Girls College Gulbahar Peshawar GOVT.CITY GIRLS COLLEGE GULBAHARPESHAWAR ------- An Overview Government City Girls College, Peshawar started to function in September, 1986, as Government Inter College at Fakirabad, Peshawar. Later on it was shifted to the main G.T Road, opposite to the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce in April 1991. This place was more approachable to the students. Still, the space was not enough and the college was shifted to the Elementary College building at Gulbahar, in 2001. By this time, the college had gained popularity and prestige among the educational and academic circles of Peshawar. Now, there are about 1100 students in Science and Arts, and all main subjects are being offered for study. Its affiliation is secured with the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar, and for the Intermediate classes its affiliation is with the B.I.S.E. Peshawar. By the grace of Allah, the college has made extraordinary progress in a short period. The college staff is highly qualified and works really hard with the students to give 100% results in the board as well as in the university exams. The principals of the college have always strived to achieve high standards of education all through these years. The additional shift classes have been started for the convenience of the public in September 2008, at both Inter and BS 4 year program in subject of Home Economics started from 2011 and in subject of English started in 2012.Now we are offering BS in 6 departments.That are Urdu,English,Political Science,Home Economics,Islamiat and Chemistry.We believe in quality education so that we can really contribute to the development of our country. The times are not far off when educated, productive and pro-active ladies of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province will feel proud of being alumni of Govt. City Girls College.&lt;/p&gt;</p>
