ON-CAMPUS SERVICES
Our newly built technology based campus with additional academic as well as recreational facilities has further added to the learning experience of the students. Our Forty canal campus has four blocks with a broad range of dedicated facilities including state-of-the-art classrooms, libraries, computer labs, Auditorium, recreational spots, and sport grounds.
Student Counseling Service
The Career Guidance Centre is established in order to provide up-to-date and advanced information to the students for their academic development. It helps the students to make appropriate choices at the right moment and develop insight for appropriate decisions. The Centre is led by a group of well-informed faculty who provide the required assistance and guidance to the students based on their personal needs and current opportunities.
The Career Guidance Centre helps the students identify talents, interests and values in making educated career choices. The Centre conducts workshops and presentations on various topics like subjects’ selection, subjects’ descriptions, interview techniques and career expectations etc.
OBJECTIVES
1. To help students in proper selection of subjects according to their talent and aptitude.
2. To guide students to develop their academic career in line with their goals.
3. To help students prepare for interview and develop their communication skills
4. To help students make appropriate and realistic career choices and career direction.
5. To manage and give information regarding scholarships.
PROCEDURE
Prior to make a decision about students’ career and personal development the following areas are identified:
• What is he good at?
• What is he capable of?
• What is most important to him?
• What working environments will suit him?
• What are his key career needs?
With the increased clarity student will be in the best possible mood to brainstorm ideas for his future. Student Counselor will help him to narrow down his list, and to produce a focused, realistic and step-by-step action plan.
OTHERS
COMPUTER LABS
Currently, the institute has two computer laboratories with Core i3 and high speed internet: most systems are Microsoft Windows 7 based with some multi booted consisting of Linux. All computers within the campus are interconnected to a server controlled by the network administrator. For students of IT all the professional software is provided at the Labs: indeed, there is a separate DLD and Electronics Lab dedicated to students in the Computer Science Program.
LIBRARIES
The Institute libraries contain books related to a range of academic and nonacademic fields. The library has separate male reading rooms. Library cards are also issued to students in order to facilitate book loans for a certain period of time.
CLASSROOMS
All classrooms are well-ventilated with comfortable seating. Classrooms are designed to accommodate 60 students per room; however, student groups are voluntarily kept smaller in order to facilitate reasonable student-instructor interaction.
HEALTH CENTRE
Health Centre at College is an appropriately equipped, with basic First Aid Facilities to encounter any untoward situation. It provides services such as:
Medical treatment for injuries and illness
Counseling for stress reduction, mental health crisis, change in behavioral pattern, smoking cessation, nutrition and more.
Advice on hygiene and preventive health.
CAFÉ
The campus has an Cafe that serves students from morning till afternoon. Besides catering for food and drinks, some daily need items are also available.
